Great idea, but I think the wiki is too overloaded with information…
Mod Database and Server Database = almost the same thing, a lot of overlapping lines… One of these two things may be Player Database (something like this)
I think ideal variant to fast mod “download and play” must be like when you downloading drivers on http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx?lang=en-us or http://www.amd.com/ru/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx
Example steps in example form:
Type of Mod->TC, Major, Minor, Patch, Any->Minor
Status->Active, Dormant, Discontinued, Any->Active
Multiplayer->Yes, No, Any->Yes
Location->Somewhere1, Somewhere2, …, SomewhereN, Any ->Somewhere1
Style->RP,PvP,DeathMatch,Test,RTS,Special->RTS
Example Result:
*Server Host:Port, Name, Location, Style, Mod, Players, Download Link
dunno.whereyouareatthe.moment:2302, 24/7 Procyon Dedicated , Dunno, RTS, Vanilla, 63 / 64, NiceShinyDownloadButton
Somewhere in the form may be:
Based on->[Mod List], Original, Any
Type of Download->Mod, Patch, Tool, SDK, 3D Model, Any
Ofcourse “Server Host:Port” is linked with freelancer URL to start with Freelancer Web Launcher, name is linked to Wiki’s Player Database
As other wariant result is all servers (from Freelancer Most Active Servers) with the desired server at the top and down the most appropriate conformance to the request + availability to sort server list by rows*
P.S. Sorry for bad English but i think my idea is clear
