Utf_edit.exe virus?

Just usimg a-squared and it has highlighted the above file as Trojan-Dropper.Delf!IK

Is this likely to be a false positive?

The utf file version is 1.0.0.1.

Good question, possibly it came from the old utilities and goodies package but to be honest could be anywhere disk is stuffed with FL things.

You could try what I use as a fail safe. Upload the file for a test at this link below, there it will run the gauntlet of 41 Mal-ware products. And reports what if any of them find.

Then if A-squared is the only one screaming foul,

EDIT:
If it is a real large download file try using the md5/sha1/sha256 Hash Value first, someone else may have recently tested the same item.
