why u ppl donot make a Vedio of how to make a server and upload it to Youtube and make it for the New Players please i need that Vedio

This isn’t a video, but I hope these steps might clarify the process:
1. This assumes you are running a Windows OS. The steps under Wine/Linux might be slightly different.
2. Install Freelancer + Any Mods you are using. I assume you installed it to the default directory under your C drive.
3. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\EXE. If you are using a 64 bit operating system, you will choose “Program Files (x86)” instead of “Program Files”. If you installed it with another directory, navigate to Freelancer under that directory.
4. Locate “FLServer.exe” within the “EXE” folder you just opened. Double click on it.
5. Here you have text fields with a Name, Description, Password, and Player Limit. Name and Description are the details shown to players from the global list. Leave Password blank if you do not want one, or give it a value if you do.
6. The fields for Allow New Players, Make Your Server Internet Accessible, and Allow Players to Harm Other Players should be pretty self-explanatory. Note that if you choose to make your server accessible, look at the next step.
7. Sadly, I will need to be vague here. To host your server on the internet, you will need to port forward incoming “UDP” packets on port 2302 to your computer. If you do not want 2302 as the port, you can run “-pXXXX” as a command line on your FLServer.exe. Replace “XXXX” with the port number you want. Depending on your network configuration, you can also map different incoming ports to other ones internally. Different networks are configured different, so Googling guides to port forwarding may be your best bet.
Sorry it isn’t a Youtube video. I may get around to making one eventually though.

If you have a firewall enabled, this should be automatic - there will be a message asking whether to keep on blocking Freelancer or FLServer.exe. Allow it.
There should also be a similar message for Microsoft DirectPlay8 Server - allow this too, or external players will not be able to connect even though they will see your server.
If you don’t get these messages then log in to the administrator account, and run FLServer.exe from there, and you should get the messages.
Once you allow / unblock, you can log off and log into your normal account to run FLServer.

http://the-starport.net/freelancer/download/singlefile.php?cid=1&lid=6Whoops! Beaten to it. Forgot about this step.
Your FLServer contributes its information to a GLS/GUNS/Global List Server so other players can connect to it. It is like a login server or authentication server. In a way, it is like an electronic phone book.
Another additional step you might look into is compiling FLHook. It provides an administration console system + customizable experience to your server. Additional information can be be found on this forum.
