What I’d like to see is something of a civilian capital class ship. Could be a Zoner ship, I guess, but I kinda thought, more of a diplomatic ambassadorial capital ship. Maybe even with it’s own Gunboats and Destoryers/Cruisers.

an ambassadorial, yes, but a civilian warship?… its already strange enough civilians are allowed to purchase military vessels (fighters), how one would explain a warship fleet? well, up to the modder. but their designs do look as if they could be belonging to a colony.

Oh, no, I wasn’t thinking a Warship, just a capital class ship. Something that looks really elegant that isn’t so much a liner but a ship that would transport or even house VIP’s. Usually the highly political types or whatever you’d want to call them.

A while ago a friend of mine was working on modular ships for Freelancer and had me make a bunch of random pieces with a texture just thrown on that we could use to make the ships ingame. Well, unfortunately, he never finished the coding or whatever happened. Not sure on the details, was a while ago. So I just kinda played Lego with them and designed a few ships that I though looked ok. Or atleast, I would have tryed to make ingame had the pieces worked corectly. So, since this is a thread for showing off ships and such, I give you, my horribly textured wrecks of art, lol.
If, for some odd reason someone likes these, just PM me and I’ll let you use them. Please feel free to retexture them if you if you want. I’d love to see how you improove on them.

I really like what you’ve done with the liberty models. Excellent mix of the old model while making it look a more high-tech spacey-like-ish.

White hull plating makes everything look hi-techy stuff.

The Lib ones look a bit too insectoid to me, but I like the Outcast ship.

Those ships look great. I’m wondering if you have LOD mesh’s to go with them, or how the LOD’s would look. I’m sure I don’t need to be concerned with performance on PC’s these days though.
