Help please

hi all,
I have a laptop with windows10 installed. I have been trying for months
to get freelancer to work.

I have tried all the suggestions on here , but no luck.

I have recently installed discovery , and this is the nearest I have got…

when I load freelancer , the screen goes black , and I hear the music.

please can anyone help , as i love this game and th short time i get to play it i cant

I think you need to activate DirectPlay, which you should find somewhere in System Settings, Windows Legacy Components (not sure exactly, I’m still on 7).
