I just installed freelancer again after a couple of years

Hi,

I just installed freelancer again after a couple of years of not playing.
I patched the non-official 1.4 patch over mijn current install, but didnt patch of mod anything else yet.
also i dont have the mod installer yet. (or TNG if that is still alive)

my question is: what should i install now, to have a fun multiplayer experience?

should i install TNG or is that already dead? i also heared about some sort of mmo server?
so… what do most people have got installed over the standard install?

Some have activated global server fixes (http://www.freelancerpatch.com)
Which give you back an ingame server list since the official master server went down

There are still TNG servers out there…but according to the FL stats page (www.stats.freelancerserver.de) they seems to be nearly dead

Choose for your self
There are some really nice mods out there (which are well visited), Crossfire, BSG Galactica, New Universe, Tekagi’s Treasure, Shattered Worlds (sequel of Asgard RPG), Discovery and of course vanilla- or only slightly modded servers
