… maybe about time for a client side anti-cheat solution,
which can block / kick / ban those fellows,
who did changes to their client. -
@F!R ive been thinking about that for ages wee allready have a client and i was going to add that to the client if the crc didtnt match and not the same ver close fl
but one problem i seen was to get the client on first
wee might be able to do it with hook not look into it yet
but wee allready had a few on crashing the server
and it seems they just been using the clients exe
i think the main reason it crashes wee dont have eny
original systems in so its prity bad when you get one onso even with this new version it dosent realy matter cos its nothing new its allready been happning long before its release

Embrace the new tech… or risk looking like a backward ninny set in its ways, I can safley say noone here watching/posting on this tread wants to make it easy for cheaters… There will be safegards eventualy… but with all new ideas and stuff… an experimental stage is at hand… freakin enjoy the ride & stop trying to point the “bad man” finger Adoxa’s way.
Im pretty shure anyone who’s “bothered” to play with the new stuff over the past few weeks will agree with me… I really dont wanna hear from anyone who has just read a post and flagged it as a cheat progy

::: Sory for the Abruptness of this post… but im getting the shits with nit pickers over this particular problem… I have ran the required tests myself… and its minimal compared to other problems we encounter… like field “looting” isues… I have more problems with the engclass dll flaging internal (ignorable) problems than anything Hack can throw at the server… wich is all mostly clientside anyways - so yes… I know what im talking about! :::
oh and F!R… yes thats probaly the best solution all round

Dont know why you dont just use Lancers autoupdater program, it prevents more cheats than any other program around and FLHack doesnt work with it either because the AU simply wont allow it

…… the main reason is, that paranoiacs like me don’t like auto-up-daters.
That was the main reason part 1.
Part 2 is, that i know, how fast i can code chaos
and i don’t want that skill to come together with the
possibility to spread those freshly coded bugs ‘on the fly’. -
Well i don’t know if it’s at all possible but would some kind of server side hook that runs when the server is started that then enables the FLHack mod not work? Then if anyone with FLHack logs onto a server not running the server side hook, the mods just will not activate. Pretty much how Prochyon Hook does it with the wing animations.

I personally doubt, that would be necessary here
(while i still would be glad to see a nice anti-cheat).If someone wants to visit a server with a wrong client,
it would be easy to change the version with reshack
or maybe you could even just use the fl.exe of that mod with other stuff.This hack might give us maybe 1 or 2 additional smarta** in a while,
who switched off version checking and visit this + that server
or just click the wrong one.And the ideal way to deal with that, would be to have a tool
at the server, which just keeps it away from crashing
cause of wrong or silly client requests.Silly client requests should definitiv crash the silly client (only).

well you could always build a simple client that uses fl crc32
on the exe and then sends it through the chat interface then have hook verifie it if it dosent match kick them or if no id is sent same resulti would do it but i use the old hook not the plugin ver
and the anti cheat client i use is idependent of fl
and aint using the chat interface to do the crc
but if i have time i might have a go at it -

After changing the Eagle to CAPITAL, wow, that is just weird. Here’s a quick hex edit to add the FREIGHTER type to TRANSPORT and CAPITAL. Don’t know if freighter will always override capital/transport, but at least the controls work.
File: Common.dll # v1.1 18c8c6: 12 [ 10 ] # TRANSPORT + FREIGHTER 18c8ce: 22 [ 20 ] # CAPITAL + FREIGHTER ```BTW, CAPITOL doesn't exist.

Alright it works very well but I have found one drawback: when an NPC uses one of these two now, the icon in the contact list will be a freighter icon instead of a transport/capital icon. Can this be changed or is it a problem we must accept if we want to use that hack?

Is there any possibility of mapping a key to toggle the “follow waypoints”? As it is, with that option enabled it is difficult to do anything other than follow waypoints.

Is there a way to specify the targeted directory? Since the new version of discovery mod it wont work in there.
