What kind of Freelancer player are you?
-
Me? I’m no police, trader, pirate or what not. Exploration is my niche, I just love flying around new systems and seeing the sights.
But what about the “The Starport” community? What niche do you guys commonly fit into?
-
I’ve always liked to fly around and discover “the wonders”. That’s why, soon, I wanna start creating some scenery objects, not just station and ships. Cause, in my opinion, a freelancer mod that has LOTS of cool & original stuff to look at will be far better than any mod with a thousand ships in it but empty otherwise. This applies to any game, not just our mods. So I guess I’m a tourist

Kamikaze…
mostly, but i do enjoy exploring & making some $$ along the way…
-
Enjoy a bit of everything! Finding a new trade route (okay, so not exactly FL related) and plying its trade is great. Missions, or PvP fighting, and exploration to find new hidden things/systems.
-
I’m a fighter jockey. I’m not good at much else
-
Fighter Pilot
-
Bomber/Gunboat/Cruiser/Battlecruiser/BS pilot.
-
I’m …… i guess i can be any ships pilot… because i can make it fly haha
I pay lot of time to piloting a fighter or cruiser to discover new system and found mines…I think i have the Exploration Addiction.
I do that the same in any game…Freelancer, Half-Life2, and now Fallout3…that’s… interesting. -
Trader and/or Explorer.
I can’t fight for s**t. But that was what made me fall in love with Freelancer MP. You were able to take on different roles and do your own thing.
-
In general, fighting and trading to support my fighters. Other than that, trying to find everything in the mod/server I’m gaming with period. Love to have a fully completed map of the mod. Add something new, I’ll find it.
Forgot to add that PvP is the fighting but, killing NPCs for the numbers is also one thing for adding it to Cryos.
-
Latley i didn’t play much.
But when i play fighting.
Love pvp -
I’m a cap jockey, always have been, always will be. I’m OK in a fighter on the side, nothing special, but I have fun.

I’m more of an explorer kind with a tendency to use caps otherwise.

I seem to be a fan of the trading and mining thing. I’m TRYING to get better when it comes to an actual fighter, but it’ll require a little bit of improvement, I think.
-
I’m a fighter pilot. Good at trading when I have to, but I’m a lawful officer (LSF).
I can’t be a bad guy if my life depended on it. For instance, I don;t even say “hi” in game. I say “greetings”.
-
A little late to the party, but I’ll comment anyway…
Pie-rat fighter pilot.
I only play as a lawful pilot when the lawful group is aggressive and borders on nearly being pirates themselves. I’m a law abiding citizen IRL and tend to not want to be that when I play this game. Alongside that, I tend to be a fringe pirate simply because I enjoy the exploration aspect … and that generally is all done on the fringe.
-
Roleplayer and Fighter Pilot (if i manage to set it up correctly
)
-
I’m a Explorer and trader by nature – I love to fly around and check out the various system’s and all the space eye candy – I do enjoy the combat and interacting with the various factions – I’m also a big ship fan a like to test out all the different ships and see how they perform
I Just love Ring Surfing – zipping about on thrusters or in cruise mode trying to get close to the ring and sailing along it

Hmmm… I like moving freight. I like seeing the sights too. That’s what attracts me to the FL universe. Finding all the loot just floating around waiting to be collected keeps me coming back for more. Never tried flying any of the capitol ships. Sounds like fun tho. Putting down a few rebels or pirates is always good for a quick start, but after I feel comfortable enough that I can move goods and hold my own, that’s what you’ll find me doing.
