Myflaccountid.hta derp. 'Not Found'

So I have a rather odd problem.
Decided to have a browse around some of the Freelancer MP servers that are still around, but FL doesn’t seem to want to generate a Multiplayer key on my machine. The field is just blank.

Even more interestingly, when I run myflaccountid.hta, I get a ‘<not found=“”>’ message and apparantly I ‘do not have a Freelancer multiplayer account’

I assume I could generate one on a machine running XP and generate it manually, so I’m not too concerned about a workaround (although it’d be nice) More whether anyone else has run into this, and why it’s actually happening.

First thing I did, no change. Tried a Fresh Install with 1.1 before starting the program. Still no luck.

Managed to get a working key using FLKeygen. Still curious as to why it didn’t generate one in the first place though.

Unlawful, not Illegal, subtle difference. Twiddling with the Freelancer EXE violates the EULA, which means Microsoft could in theory come down on you for it. However, it’s very unlikely unless you were profiting from it in some way.

Assume there was some kind of misunderstanding then. Was referring to use of keygens to break DRM and similar. Pretty sure FLKeyGen wouldn’t be hosted on TSP if it wasn’t legit anyway.
