Cheaters Death 1.3 Firewall problem
-
ive recently installed a new FL server and FLCD1.3 on it
now the console (on the lower part of FLCD) gives me thousands of firewall errors telling me that it cannot bypass the firewall filter.
The normal FL ports are open on that server and the windows firewall is inactive.
Running win2003 64bit and no other tools atm.
FL and FLCD are doing its job without any probs but such a big error output cannot be good for the server performance.
Are there other ports required to be unblocked for FLCD?
any suggestions? -
Do you have the flhook options enabled in FLCD? if your not running flhook its best to turn those off.
-
flhook is installed and working
but the flhook option in FLCD is disabled (that also was my first guess) -
wich winpcap version? maybe there is the problem
In the readme it says 3.1.Also there is a telnet server active and it has an option to connect to a sql server.
Otherwise i have no clues atm.
Goodluck

… could you post a part of the log or a link 2 ur log file.
Maybe i can help. so we are using CD since a while on
a heavy modded server (WTS). -
i guess your right with the cap
i installed version 4.0.2 now and so far no errors…. ill keep an eye on it in the next few hours just to be sure -
ok nope
the problem does still exist10.07.08-21:20:35:842>ERR: MyIPBlocker.cpp, 376: Block:Error removing a Firewall Filter. Error:0xfffffffb

Do you have the cdfwdrv.sys file in your CD directory? (should come with CD)
What OS are you running? The error happens when somebody’s IP cannot be unblocked (IP’s get blocked if you kick somebody and FLHook is not running, since using the IFSO-way of opening the list of players produces a redlag on servers with many accounts) for some strange reason… I’ll try to find out why a bit later, g2g now.
-
the file is there and the OS is win2003 (64bit)
-
From what we know CD’s firewall (based on the driver cdfwdrv.sys) doesn’t work on 64bit systems. If you look closely what appears in the log window after startup you will see the line ending like this:
….Error loading Firewall Filter “cdfwdrv.sys”. Code DVR_ERROR_STARTINNGAnd because of this CD’s Watchdog and kicking/banning doesn’t work at all.
I was trying to contact Misha to confirm that but it was after he stopped developing it and I wasn’t successful. Maybe it’s easy to make a 64bit version of that driver but only he can do it, I guess…
But when we tested it on a 32bit version of Windows all worked well.

we had the same problem on a 64 bit system , solution was to install an virtuall maschine with xp 32 bit , but mischa the creator of CDlite is aware of this problem , an might relase an 64 bit version
-
yeah i assumed that this would b the prob and already decided to switch back to 32bit
