Further poking and strings and wild guesses seem to indicate it’s some sort of input for inverse kinematics (with maybe child name pointing to the end effector?).

I’m maybe waking up an old dog here, I am an indy game dev, working now to finish a game nothing related to freelancer but I consider building some sort of follow up of freelancer as it were.

I do not want to build a copy of freelancer, the game is good as it is with all the mods around, I want different graphics, somewhat different game play and story board, but I would like to keep the feel of freelancer in my game I con,sider working on

I would need some graphic artists to help get this done, a coder or two to help out on some stuff would be useful too as doing such a huge thing is long and complicated.

There is a [c]direction[/c] parameter, for example in Bw02.ini:

[LightSource] nickname = Bw02_walker_light pos = 10828, 0, -226 color = 225, 100, 6 range = 100000 type = DIRECTIONAL direction = -0.845085, 0.430582, 0.316907 ```Tested: it works, this is the direction for [c]DIRECTIONAL[/c] type lights. When not included, [c]0,0,-1[/c] seems to be used, unless some [c]atten_curve[/c] is added, in which case it behaves like a [c]POINT[/c] light (the Li01 example). EDIT: oops made typo, fixed now

Old thread I know but amused me.

From the timeframe and description at least one was Google’s bot they got stomped for sending out to gather “keywords and trending data”. Hackers captured it and made it malicious. Today there’s worse that does worse. It’s called “Chrome” 😞
