I would normally test this…

But unfortunately I have Exams in two weeks so I need to study.

I’ve tried it on both, actually. I also tried it with pure vanilla FL and with the QuickFix patch. And I know that the mod works because I could activate Datastorm for it.

Though, that reminds me, I have an old saved game package somewhere online that should have a complete Datastorm.fl. It won’t fully help, but it might be a nice band-aid until the real problem can be sorted out.

Actually you can blame me for the tutorials as i rescued them from the original TLR site and reposted them on one of the incarnations of TLR. As i was unsure who wrote some of these tutorials i also mentioned at the time that if any of the original authors spots their tutorial then they should contact me and i’d amend it. Seeing as i’m no longer part of the admin team at TLR, this is not an option, but telling Dark_Angel about is now.

Of course i have nearly all of these on my forums as well at Gizmo Studios for those that are interested

Its bloody disgusting that people keep doing this.

I am privvy to the reasons why they keep doing this, and I have to say it pathetic and wrong. People need to grow up.

Do they think they are helping the situation or community as a whole? No, they are merely making things worse. I want TLR to succeed. I want them to be strong and to have downloads and tutorials we all miss. I want them to work closely with sites like ours so we can ensure the future growth of this game. But with people doing things like this, it hinders future development, it does NOT help.

At a time when the community needs to stay strong, why do we have individuals trying to ruin things?

The Workaround was DOWN too, until now, it seem to be back up :).

Update for our members.

I have been in contact with the server owner Mister-X and it seems there are a couple reasons for the web server going down.

One is that the mister-x is moving. The other main reason is that the server was hacked into by someone externally and was therefore left completely open to someone. This is a little dissapointing news to hear that people (whether in the FL community or not) insist on ruining fun for others.

The server will be reinstalled at new location and brought back up in due course. It may take some time though.

In the meantime please use our temporary forums as above.

The TLR ups and downs are a slap in the face of the Freelancer Community to be honest .

Therefore its nothing wrong to have as much FL related sites as possible, therfore i support The Starpoint , , always better than the situation we have now , surely TLR will be missed , and hopefully will get back soon , but its sure it cant be the only resource to keep Freelancer alive .

im planning 2 make the 80 years war again…this time the outcasts in involved cuz the battle is in omicron beta, sigma 13 and a JH beetween those systems ;D

the colonies are at war due to a second nomad infiltration this time in bretonia and kusari…many bretonia attacks in rheinland and liberty and more attacks from kusari in liberty…and nomad patrols in kusari so its gonna be a exiting mod xD

We can always hope… But I do think were they to give it away, the pricing would be rather steep.

There is nothing I hate more than UVMapping someone elses work, it’s been the cause of many a bust up in game modding communities.
