    I actually downloaded 88 Flak to have a look at this and i have to say after applying some of the values with the supplied formula, makes a hell of a difference. My npc freighters have stopped their silly waggling which was annoying the crap out of me. Some very useful information i have to say 🙂

    when you go into prison base mitchell its empty but i changed that when i made the order mod that is where i am copying this from. i dont remember if in the order mod the base shows up because i have not played that mod in a long time. so i will leave it as a secret place that only the brave player should know.

    My tool edits existing missions, theres no empty mission template (its really easy to make one out of m01.init or m02.ini and the next version will have the template built in).

    And DVDMan, not building on the work of others is irrational and self defeating. You can get a lot more done by using existing knowledge and expanding upon that than by doing everything yourself. Of course you could be the kind of person who codes in assembly to avoid using the work of others (APIs, Operating Systems) to make their life easier.

    also, this is the box-shaped path to the exclusion zone around the gate. the “gate room” is an ellipsoid and can be modified just the same as well.

    I suggest to use 1.8.x versions, the 1.7.x versions were very unstable, i had same problems with them.
    The 1.8.2, 1.8.4, 1.8.5 are much better, and reliable.

    So, a smaller zone within a larger zone would have it’s own distinct damage value independent of the damage in the greater enveloping zone?

    I’ll give it a try to see what happens.

    You might also take an interest in doing ids_names and ids_infos with FLMM’s XML-generates scripts. You can use that for almost everything, except faction names and names of asteroid fields and nebula’s (if there are random mission vignettes in them)

    This saves you the pain of keeping track of what number corresponds to what string.
