Thats CD. not anyone else. granted he will tell his buddies “TSP is baad place, no democracy”. but thats his buddies, they can think for themselves, if they get engaged here, im pretty sure they can de-bunk what he is saying -_-.

Ive known Angelfire through the Discovery mod for a long time now. And this is the very same guy that got pictures of Super Models from a shoot he was doing. Holding signs saying i love Discovery. And i love the Reapors of Sirius a clan im part of amongs other goodies.

I must agree with what OP said on a previous part of this Thread – If Joss Wedon couldn’t get Fox to produce a full season of Firefly or to even show it in correct order for that matter – and we all know who he is and Fox is the most liberal network out there Then you have to have doubt’s – cause there aint that far a drift from firefly to freelancer – and you know that MS is going to want a fat piece of the profit side and will not pony up a dime – on top of that SciFi channel is going the reality show way due to how cheap it is

well i also didnt fell very good when i saw topic about making a possible TV serie to get pinned/closed down, just because one or 2 members of TSP couldnt imagine that it could be possible, I might be too big optimist but at least i am not pesimist, Ideas and dreams are leading force of progress and if all ppl would think like OPR8R, we would come nowhere and humanity would still play with stones around, No prject is never guaranteed to live its end but we all take chances to try and learn something new and learn on mistakes, if we fail on certain point somebody else will be able to continue from point where we failed and continue.

I am admin of one of the most active FL communities
I am the creator of one of the best FL mods out there
I am head of the currently biggest FL modding team with more active projects than others would be able to handle
SO my “pessimistic” way of thinking (others would say realistic way of thinking) actually has brought me to a point that most others still have to reach.
And if I want to get a pic of hot models having the words “SWAT Portal bunny crew”  painted on their nakes bodies then Im damn sure I can get this done too (I know who would do me such a favour).

Realistic judgement is judgement based on the facts… and those speak against that project.
Realistic judgements also involve a judgement based on experience. Well I have 9 years of experience in the Lancer community (which is certainly more than you all have; and i dont speak about a onesided view based on just one FL community site… I am active in almost every big FL community)… and not a single similar project ever was a success (and there already were movie projects based on Lancer).

In the end it will look like always… one person has an idea and 20 others get excited about it… a few weeks pass by… no development is done… people loose interest…
A new incredible idea gets born… again 20 people get excited… and the entire game starts again…
In the end we have thousands of ideas… millions of hopes… and 0 results

I easily can name 10 cases where exactly that did happen.
You can call me pessimistic… but my REALISTIC way of acting has worked very good and has brought me to where I am now (not only here in FL).

Yeah was gonna say mate… FL is one thing… RL is quite another. So is words vs. action.

I can only hope to “never” reach the level of pessimism you have achieved OPR8R…

well that’s not what i’d call “supportive”… in the slightest …

And just because a few good ideas got shelved in the past don’t mean the future is bleak… we got some
mighty talented new guys & gals past few years … with the knowhow to get the job done… alone if need be…

you talk about supporting something while you do nothing then crying “yay”
If you want to support this idea then create that teaser for that guy. But dont tell me that I am pessimistic or that i dont support the lancer community. I have been supporting the lancer community for 9 years now and kept the Starlancer online community running when everyone else refused to support it. TLR would have been shut down in the end of 2006 already if I wouldnt have supported it and in the past 2 months I have done nothing else than supporting projects in the entire Freelancer community.
All that does not happen if i would be pessimistic or not supportive.

But i will not support a project that MIGHT get realized in a few YEARS while there are other projects which can and will lead to good results NOW (projects that are being kept ignored because of that incredible new and shiny movie project - its like giving new toys to a kid and the old toys end up in a corner)
