    Ah, I didn’t realize that. I do know there was another packer/unpacker pair, but the packer would generate junk once the file was too big. The bini-tools packer is okay, but decided it was better to write my own than modify it to work without the quotes.

    ahhhhh, thanks for clearing that up :p. Last night, I had the thrusters set for 500 m/s and it drained the power in less than 10 seconds.

    You were right, it works without the freelancer.ini, thanks. (it was a bit confused because that wide screen mod contains this file, i glad it doesnt have to use)

    But… im just curious:-)…. how can i fix it?

    Wow, I would have never thought of that, this brings thing into another perspective, Thank you so much for the hint. Fortunately I’ve managed to ‘kinda’ fix the issue by taking the physics for another cap ship from another mod and by increasing the dock radius of objects to 600. This way small ships dock the same way and large ships don’t have to position themselves perfectly for the docking sequence to begin. Still this angular drag thing makes sence. I will look into it as soon as I have the time. At the moment I’m continuing the Destructible Universe mod. If’ you’re interested here’s a link:

    This is purely experimentation to get some idea of how things could play out in another project of mine.

    I’m learning C# at the moment for use with the XNA framework to program my own game in top down arcade style but with rpg, rts and arcade combat elements. I’m currently working on the design document so if anyone has any ideas such as things you felt were missing from Freelancer, i’d appreciate it.

    Particulary if it relates to universe interaction, i.e; how the player can effect the world he/she plays in.

    I hate to admit it but, I remember the first time I join a multi-player server. I started out ok but then, I got my butt kicked so fast so many times before I had a chance to do anything, it was a month or two before I decided to go back on one. It was totally unexpected and I was so nervous I made sure I was ready to defend the next time.

    I was only using a Laptop with a touch pad at the time and thought I was pretty good with it but, someone convinced me to but a mouse and it’s been on every since, all comers and as many NPCs as the game can muster. 🙂 :evil:
