They’re helicopters. I didn’t notice them either, but for my patch I visited every base and checked the spew for warnings, where I discovered one relating to them.

FL Hack has an option to disable pause on Alt+Tab, as well as allowing you to save in space. (Added in 1.40, before I joined here.)

Your anti-virus may have quarunteed it so that it cannot be accessed, look into your AV settings.

Well you rename your file to without the FLmod behind, unzip your mod, and put the mod in the modmanager.
On that way it will work. Than you can activate it.

If you let it extract a flmod file with FLMM1.5, it hangs.

I took the liberty of contacting one of the programmers from FL, in a quest to see if he’d tell me what is actually in the EXE file that we can still use. I figured if you don’t ask you don’t get, and asked him about the HUD situation. This is the reply i recieved,

“There were an unusual number of iterations of the HUD over the course of developing Freelancer… the 3d radar never quite worked out… it took up too much screen space and was still hard to readup/down/front/back so we ended up going with the peripheral version.The code and graphics for the older interface don’t exist in the final game”

Straight from the horses mouth so to speak, so if someone wants to do this, it will have to be from scratch. He didn’t let on any more although i’m still gently trying to get more info. I’ve left his name out so he doesn’t get into trouble.

Were the numbers in the past not like ~350 players in avergae or so?

Well i think that most peoples are sharing their stuff, for example Wodka shared all his special features like cloaking or docking.
This is only an example, most community’s share their best features.
We at NU would also share our hook features but those features that we’ve keep are alrdy avaible to the community or they are security relevant.

What I mean is that i dont feel that we need more sharing, for my feelings it’s good as it is rightnow.
And if someone rly wants the HHC or DFLS webinterface I’m sure wodka and crazy would provide them with importend infos.

Just my 2 cents… ;D
