    4. My free web hosts don’t allow the .exe extension, so I appended .bin. JFLP is itself based on previous patches, hence the multitude of numbers.
    5. When I did 1.0 a bug was introduced that prevented completion of Mission 9 during the SP story (I locked a gate that I didn’t unlock).

    You can use the obj to sur tool to make a sur from an obj.
    Just search the forums for it, can’t be too hard.

    I tried this, still no destroy solar missions.

    I think there’s some confusion here. The factions that won’t offer missions are Vanilla ones, eg. li_n_grp (Liberty Navy), co_me_grp (DSE), fc_ou_grp (Outcasts), fc_m_grp (Mollies) etc. that already have these entries.

    I should have edited my last post but forgot to. I began testing custom ships in other mods and discovered that this is a problem that affects custom player ships when being shot by NPCs, leading me to believe that this is about as close to perfection as I can get.

    In PVP, however, the shields drop normally. I’ve found that re-exporting hitboxes with the latest OBJ to SUR exporter fixes the problem a little, but I’ve never really noticed the problem while playing other mods in multiplayer.

    Oh dear, thanks for pointing that out. I’d just suggested to your good friends over at SWWT they would be a great addition to their mod, best cut and paste your post into a message before they waste any time on it!

    Thanks for your help! I tried changing the starsphere and replacing the cockpit.ini, although it didn’t work. Then I remembered Cameras.ini and replacing it with a clean copy fixed the turret view.

    I’m still confused about the dynamic asteroids. They -do- have a texture defined but FLSpew keeps spamming a “no material found for asteroids in field” error.

    If he’s worried about NPC farming, look also at cargo drops. You can limit the amount of cargo a NPC ship carries in the shiparch.ini files.

    There’s an old junker farming trick in NY that I had to mod the CSVs for to prevent exploitation of a little glitch in the files there.

    A - no, not with conventional modding
    B - yes, absolutely. they already drop from ships, so why not from asteroids, too? (unless I’m overlooking that they only drop from mission enemies since they are listed as item to be dropped; however, this is not necessarily a limitation either)
