    Thanks guys. As for the Hp Mount. I just re-worked Andromedas harpoints, and if any of you now andromeda, i put the HP Mount at the very front of the ship on the main body.

    I thinkily try the Phantom Physics. Like i said, Thanks.

    It does. I dont know how many custom factions he has, but if he moves a number of vanilla dlls elsewhere he should have about 30 or so.

    Thanks everyone. Bejaymac, the LODRanges did the trick. And the 3db exporter is working much better for generating icons.

    Seems to be fairly stable, although the ship seems very smallā€¦ā€¦smaller than HardCMP would have lead me to believe.

    Was having some strange artifacts with the transparent / opaque glass in the ship. The glass seemed to make some of the faces behind them transparent / opaque too. Probably just a result of my deficient modelling skills šŸ˜‰

    Iā€™ll prob try my hand at modelling / adding something else a little bit more serious into FL soon.

    Yeah takes all but a few minutes eh šŸ˜› Do what I did, and zip up your FL directory, for a quick restore later. Better than discā€™ing it each time it messes up šŸ˜„

    I fixed that issue, although I didnā€™t address it ā€˜directlyā€™, rather re-did a bunch of crap to eliminate as much as possible as the issue. Got fed up by a certain point šŸ˜› The paths seemed to be ok once running the path gen. Iā€™m thinking it was more along the lines of a zone issueā€¦ probably an exclusion zone(s), as they were present in both the systems that seemed to be problematic šŸ™‚

    basically you can run all tools if you can handle the error logsā€¦ eg. cheaters death has a firewall problem under 64bit which creates an error log that can easily fill the entire disc space in 1-2 months

    Check those stations, which are not at the navmap and try to change
    ā€œshape_name = NAV_bigstationā€
    to
    ā€œshape_name = NAV_largestationā€

    I suppose, the error will be gone afterwards.
    At least you ll find the stations on the NAV map than.
    šŸ˜‰

    Besides: a jumphole number 10+ doesnā€™t crash you, when entering the system.
    There are some systems in the WTS World - and i suppose also in Nightstalkers Universe
    and other mods - which got more.
    Routing through those does.

  • Error Hooking Content.dll

    Laugh till I cry,

    I got it to hook the content.dll. Everything loaded beautifully. I even made two ftl jumps without a problem.

    So I unload the mod, zip it up, turn it into a flmod file. Load the flmod file into mod manager, activate the mod. I start a new character and when i get to the MP nexus,ā€¦ā€¦ the only npc there is George Lucas (who offers the pvp bribe).

    All the other npcā€™s have disappeared.

    So I unload the mod and reload the orriginal mod, start up a server and the same thing. I unload that mod, and load the previous version of the mod,ā€¦ also the same thing.

    Had to unload the mods, delete them, uninstall freelancer, reinstatll it. At this time I was finaly able to start a server/game that had the NPCā€™s in place.

    Now Iā€™m back to trying to get the hook reinstalled and functioning properly. It hooks the content.dll and appears to be funcioning properly until you get into the game. The /help shows the list of commands, but they arenā€™t being accepted. (yes I told it to listen in the flhook.ini and it says that its listening on both ports.)

    Iā€™m sure its just a scrambled file somewhere, and Iā€™ll just have to mess with it till I figure it out. Just posting this for a laugh. (If your reading this, Iā€™m sure youā€™ve ran into simular issues.)

    Yeah, so Tunical, I would check the entry for that faction in all the necessary files. If there was indeed a limit, Iā€™m not sure it would omit that one, and it would more than likely do an existing one, or do some other wierd behaviour like changing which one disappears at every restart. I was going to suggest re-ordering your factions to see if you could forceable make one disappear, and that way you would know itā€™s simply the way that FL is parsing the file (from top to bottom) and then weā€™d know. But as DwnUndr seems to have a ton of factions too, that doesnā€™t seem to be an issue. What I would do though personally, is add some factions you donā€™t necessarily need on that list to the common.dll (itā€™s in ā€˜exceptionā€™-type area - see limit-breaking). That way, they can be kept as hidden/reserved if players donā€™t ā€˜needā€™ to see them šŸ™‚

    Voices arenā€™t required for bases to function correctly, though it is recommended so players whom hail NPCs know where theyā€™re going.

    Iā€™m not really sure what the deal is with the ā€œpilot_f_ill_m02ā€, as that voice functions fine for me (as do the a and b varients).

    With the tractors, yeah, make sure theyā€™re not mounted on any solars. You can place 'em as cargo though, as Bejaymac said.

    OMFG! Check this shiz out guysā€¦ The cause seems to be either certain equipment having a price of $0. I take it, this aint possibleā€¦ After I fixed up all my equipment that had a price of 0, things seemed to settle down. All that garbage disappeared. I also found a goods entry (a commodity) that had an ids_name of 0. I canā€™t see this as being the problem, but that resulted in the olde ā€˜Object Unknownā€™ textā€¦ hmm this may well be fixed. And it wasnā€™t because iā€™m tieing an infocard and a name to the number after allā€¦

    IIRC ā€œtype = NON_TARGETABLEā€ is what you use in the solararch.ini

    That would be excellent OP. Iā€™ve finished the Yamato now as well so theyā€™re all done. There are some random models still left, like missile and torp models, some of which should be bolted onto the ships, there are a few that fall into this category, the Hades, Galahad, Kamov and i think one more. Also there are some satellite models that iā€™ve exported plus cargo pods which should bolt onto some of the freighters
