    The UTF files contain voices only and are not meant to be played directly. The rest of the audio (music, sfx) is in the subfolders within the DATA\AUDIO folder. If you can’t find them, your install isn’t complete.

    Looks like the stuff you’re trying to delete is SP related so you’re right that’s what’s causing the crash.

    I’ve attached the Li01 ini from DwnUndr’s TC mod pack it looks to have left the planets, zones TLR and Gates in place, if you’re going to clear out any more systems I’d get hold of this mod as it seems to be pretty stable.

    There are plans, yes, but implementing them is another matter. 🙂

    I think the only thing left to do is FRC-style xmldata. Given that it’s been out for a while now, additional testing probably isn’t that important. It’s updating the docs that I’m really dreading, since it’s been so long and I didn’t make any notes…

    Anyone still using Win2K? I was going to use VS2010 for the release, which doesn’t (directly) support 2K.

    Bear in mind that Freelancer doesn’t consider locked gates when it generates the path. There’s a path generator available, but I’m afraid you’ll have to search yourself…

    My 110mb.com site is basically dead (apparently the box it’s on is moving to a new server, but they’ve been saying that for a year now), so I created a mirror which can be found via http://adoxa.cjb.net/. BPatch has been renamed to BwPatch.

    Better a plugin, which will disable equipment parts for a certain percentage or/and certain time.

    Like

    reduce speed about 25% disable thruster for 10 seconds disable cloak / uncloak ship reduce power output 10% for 10 seconds ….

    Sorry to dredge up such an old topic, but was this ever sorted? I’m in the same boat as Moonhead: I want to make a ring-shaped zone, and I need to have something that essentially looks like an exclusion zone on the map, except it completely removes the asteroid icons instead of just making them appear fainter.

    First off, let me thank you for all your time and effort on this, it’s much appreciated.
    I can’t recall for certain which cloud I copied unfortunately, but the one in use is a renamed copy with the exclusion zone listed. I’m nowhere near confident or knowledgeable to create items on my own yet heh! Best to copy items I know are working, then adjust them slightly.
    I’m glad you’re getting the same result, means I’ll stop playing around with this one too much and move on to furthering my knowledge and adding more stuff.

    I think it might be related to reputation towards faction(s).
    But its most possible that Im wrong.

    BTW, similar to this problems, I also wonder why sometimes support in missions refuse to hate you (even though it helps due friendly-fire while the mission lasts).

    Thanks for clearing that out 🙂 It’s a relief my memory ain’t that bad.

    Nebulas are suckers. You have to be careful not to diverge too far from the average FL vanilla’s settings. Asteroid fields are much more flexible (I can remember a guy found out you can have up to nine Asteroid Fields overlapping - maybe this is capacity-related; I never felt the need to overlap more than three). Overlapping Nebulas will render weird stuff (like your ship being invisible - I didn’t do any additional research so I don’t know about NPC ships or other players’ ships in MP)
