    OK, I see what happened. The previous hex editor I used would automatically overwrite the block that I was typing in. Tiny Hexer you either have to highlight the block before you type, or hit delete to clear the existing entry.

    My edit now reads:
    0xA490 5DC2 0800 6681 7CE4 045A 1374 E291 EBCE

    I’ll give that a try. Thanks again Adoxa.

    Yes, we have to store the damage states (like base1=10000000/60000000) then we have to juste calculate the % of live left, and reinject hitpoit to the console. If a station have 0 lifepoints, then station destroyed.

    It’d actually be not so simple, especially if the syntax diverges a bit like I think it does. It’s of course doable, but what’s the point really? There’s like 0.1% of all ALEs that fail to work with the ALE Editor. Just ignore them.

    Ne ways… what about the possibilty of having FLHook auto-trigger cruise disruption. This would work for a cruise count-down as cruise disrupt has a timed disruption countdown during which you cannot re-initiate cruise. This should also not affect server performance as cruise disruption is handled client-side only?

    Just a thought… Hopefully this has solved my own problem lol.

    i dont know hexplorer but the offset is valid.
    0x840B3 = 540851 as decimal there is 0x0F84 as should be.

    Just remember when you are working with my editor you are working with the raw code of an ale file. Both the ael and anl files must match perfectly or you won’t getting a working ALE file. Adoxa’s ale de/encoder is XML and may work better if you are used to dealing with XML files.

    BTW, the node transform can be modified to include special transformations inside of the {}, that is the default setting if an ALE does not include any transforms within the FX. Decode other ALEs to see what is possible,

    Yeah, it’s just a perfectly accurate shot with an infinite power supply. It’s usually avoided because it’s a little cheap as far as difficulty goes 😛

    thanks to everyone for your replys.
    Looks like i need a different approach to this then, i no nothing at all about hooks or the coding of c++ (or whatever)

    Maybe i could change this, so its the very first mission that changes the ship.

    It’s a shame really, i wanted to be able to give players a “taste” of better equipment and ships for each mission so they can save up to buy their favourite.

    Anyways, thanks again!

    p.s - if anybody does come across a program (or whatever) that can help me do this, please give me the heads up.
    i have tried the console.dll and yes, it is very good, but i have no clue where i would start to intergrate the features with the missions.

    yeah, we get players who like to fly the big transports by choosing a waypoint and hitting F2 and then busy themselves with other things. I prefer to fly.

    there is this explosion, which particle is animated (the 16-frames generic explosion, like station turrets). could that animation run independantly from the emitter?

    I think there was some mod which added a feature of launching to planetscapes from inside the base. I think that mod was Rise of the Lost Children, but I never actually got to use this feature, only screenshots and vids.
